Plan on studying in the US? Having trouble with the GRE word list? Need info on a college or having trouble applying? Unable to find useful resources?

The Graduate Record Examination and the Test Of English as a Foreign Language are the two main requirements by most US colleges for graduate admission. Many students believe that a good score in the GRE and TOEFL guarantees admission into a top-tier US college, although that is not the case. Nevertheless, an above-average performance in both exams is a prerequisite in getting admission to top-tier US colleges.

This post discusses the various issues regarding the preperation for the GRE and TOEFL exams as well as information regarding US colleges and application information.

Please feel free to ask questions cause we're here to answer them. Comments answering questions will also be appreciated.

  2. Assuming that you want to apply to a US university, you first have to get yourself admitted to one of the universities. Once you secure admission to a university, the university will issue an I-20 form. After you receive the I-20, you have to take an appointment with a nearby US consulate, regarding the student visa. Along with a filled I-20, you must arrange for the following:

    A Passport

    Recent Photographs

    Form 156 Non-immigrant Visa Application (https://evisaforms.state.gov/ds156.asp)

    Visa Fee

Bank statement showing capability of covering the financial costs of your education
